Hi, I am Akshay Khanna from Delhi. I wear a few different hats as an entrepreneur, auto enthusiast and wildlife photographer. When I am not working, you can usually find me behind the steering wheel of my car and outdoors with my camera, capturing images of the beautiful wildlife around us. I am passionate about all these pursuits and always eager to connect with others who share my interests.
Regarding the Jimny, I have booked the Alpha MT variant of it on 12th Jan. I currently own 2016 model Ford Ecosport Titanium 1.5L Tdci.

Hello, I’m Hrishikesh. I’m a marketing consultant, wildlife photographer and budding naturalist. Most of my travels are to places that are very remote and need a 4x4. I’ve not booked anything yet but I’m very curious and learning a good deal by looking at the posts here.
Great meeting you all and hope we cross paths in the real world soon.

Hello Everyone!
I am Chandru from Bangalore working in the IT industry. I am an auto enthusiast. Have visited Suzuki and Toyota and have undergone in-plant training with the giants. Thanks to my brother who retired from the Auto Industry having worked for them. I travel extensively by motoring; I am a hiker at heart. My current ride is Ford Freestyle! I have booked Jimny Alpha AT waiting to start my off-road adventures to reach tougher trails for trekking!!
My first mod would be 215/75 R15 100T ContiCrossContact AT tyres on stock rims.
It’s a pleasure to join this group to share our adventure stories and knowledge!
Welcome to the group!!!
Thank you for the welcome! Looking forward to the interactions!
Hi Everyone, I am Rahul. I work in Noida and been in NCR for the last 10 years. Born an brought up in Himachal. Been extremely lucky to have traveled extensively across Himachal, much before it was as popular or accessible. Since my father was in the forest department I used to travel in Gypsy a lot and often to remote places with off-road access.
Also, being married to Manipur lady since 2017, I’ve been fortunate to explore several off beaten and not so popular North East locations as well.
Due to this background, I’ve always wanted to own an off road vehicle and travel farther and to more remote places (though himachal has become overcrowded, but I’m sure our country has a lot else to offer). I have a swift VDI 2014 model (bought second hand in 2017) and will be selling it as 10 years will be over in 2024. Had thought about Thar but found the usual issues like 3 doors, big size, efficiency, etc. Booked Jimny on first day of opening in Jan.
Registered on this forum to join this family of Jimny owners, assuming that most Jimny owners would have similar passion of traveling, exploring, being in nature, enjoying outdoors, etc. I’m not an automotive nerd or enthusiast as such. I drive pretty well and long. But that’s it. So that’s another reason to join this forum because I’ll definitely need to learn a lot of stuff from the automotive experts here. Look forward to engaging more in coming days. Btw booked an Alpha AT but the price will determine if I keep the same variant or change it.
Welcome Rahul, great to have you here. I have sent you an email on how to join our Telegram Group also. Do join the group if you are interested in having instant communication with the very enthusiastic telegram group we have.
Once again welcome
Welcome to Simply Jimny
Hi Rahul , welcome to group
Nice to have you here
Hi Rahul, welcome to the CurbOver group. Hope you like the discussions, reviews and accessories database for the 5 door Jimny.
I guess you are the first member from Northeast region. We would like to know your expectations from the Jimny, your use-case and selection criteria for the Jimny, how is the service network at your place and spares availability concern, dealership experience etc.
I live in Noida but my in-laws are in Imphal, Manipur. I’ve been there quite frequently in the past few years and have spent good amount of time there. But I guess we’ll have to wait for some time now because of the ongoing security situation there. Mid next year I’ll travel there (hopefully in Jimny). It’d take ~6 days by road. Let’s see.
I’ve booked Jimny in himachal, in my hometown. First time Nexa experience. Will let you know about how it goes. The manager there is my childhood friend so maybe it would be easier experience for me.
Welcome to the group Rahul. Hope to meet you in-person sometime soon.
