Fog lamps for Zeta

So Zeta doesn’t come with fog lamps. What options do we have?

  • Suzuki official? Is that an option?
  • Aftermarket - what are the options? I only see mostly bumper mounted ones.

I’ve seen on YouTube videos that there’s housing to switch it on behind the wheel arch and it is easy to replace after removing the front wheel. But they’re only upgrading and there’s no blanks like we have.

  • What’s the general procedure like?
  • Do I hope there’s wiring and harness present waiting for a bulb or the whole thing must be done scratch up?

Totally new to this. Apologies for any noob questions.

EDIT : Official fog lamps with harness are here:

As far as I can tell the blanks in the front bumpers will be just blanks. There will not be any wiring harness etc.

However getting aftermarket or even OEM Fog Lamps and installing them should not be a problem.

Whether you go OEM or aftermarket its a personal choice. I have seen IPHcar fog lamps being installed in the Honda City and they were good.

Whatever you install ensure proper witing with fuses and relay to avoid and potential electrical problems and warranty issues.

Yes. Somehow I missed and this is the video - that looks complicated. Agreed on the fuses and relays. You think officially MS would put that on for us at the MASS?

Original fog lamps will definitely be available as spare parts and I am confident that they can be fitted on the Zeta model.

What will they cost with harness is something we will need to wait and watch.

Yes as noted above …wire tapping should not be allowed at any cost since it will lead to warranty issues and other electrical issues in future…foglamp should be installed with separate harness and the wiring should be propely fitted/tied.

I mean, they give fog lamps irrespective of trim in international markets and this cheap cost cutting here? They would’ve hardly saved 3-5K. But again from a buyer perspective, I don’t have to pay road tax on that piece :stuck_out_tongue:
Let’s hope MS gives an option to install from MASS.

Will update once I get any further information on it.

I have ordered the following light bar as fog lights for the Jimny…it is a combination of both spot light and spread in the same light bar.

Those aren’t exactly legal here, are they? Also I’m more thinking of filling up the blank space at the Zeta fog lamps.

I don’t intend to use it in city limits. Only outdoors!

Right. I’d advise to keep them covered with something like a canvas or faux leather cover when not in use to avoid unwanted attention from cops.

The law does not say that the lights need to be covered. The law says the lights cannot be used in city limits. So long the lights are off we are in good shape. Yes a cover has help protect it from dust and dirt.

Right - but I don’t think cops here think rationally like that. “If I see it - you’re using it” - that’s tough. But yes a cover should avoid unwanted attention is all.

Finally it’s here!!! Yippie!!!

I would suggest if we are modifying then why not to go for Hela or any other branded fog lamps in after market with better power and light

You can. There’s nothing wrong with that too.
My logic is that let me first use official accessory initially. Then upgrade the bulbs if needed. There’s videos by @Chaudharyalok that shows how bright stocks are:

What size fog lamps fit in Jimny? Is it 3 inch or 3.5 inch.
