Oh Boy!!! Am I excited to own one of these are they’re absolutely worth it. Here’s some images:
Now onto the awning itself: It’s a simple no nonsense 270 degree freestanding awning. Open it, tie it down, make tea under it. Chill, fold up in a minute and roll. Gets no simpler than that.
There’s only one leg, however, you’re provided pegs and guy-wires. This will keep the awning from flying off.
The awning has velcro stitched all around it’s borders so that you can buy the additional walls and make your own covered space from GavaOverland if you want.
The fabric itself is very high quality to the touch, thick and waterproof, yet light and strong. Covers a very good area which is very difficult to make out from the images, but the shade it provides, it’s beautiful, most places where there’s sunny, I open it up and chill and instantly becomes a talking point and a crowd gatherer.
So, basically it does what it says it does, covers from rain, snow and the heat and does it wonderfully. No complaints there 10/10.
Quick and easy to setup and wind back.
What I would wish it had:
- holes for hooks or S hooks so that I can hang my camping light/fan or something on the top arm that’s connected to the leg.
- better packaging while shipping. Mine came with some damages on the end cap, but the seller was wonderful and sent me the replacement.
- machined steel and aluminum parts to be deburred. They’re sharp to the touch.
Installation Recommendations:
- the seller will provide only 2 mounting points. It could be adequate for sure, the mounts are stainless steel machined. However, I would recommend purchasing 2 more mounts and make it a 4 point mount. At 15KGs approx, it shouldn’t be a problem, but Ill recommend those.
