Hello All,

I am Prashanth based out of Bangalore. I am a Mechanical Engineer working for a Manufacturing MNC. I own a 2023 Bluish Black Jimny Alpha AT which I bought pre-owned in October 2025. My Jimny is bone stock and I intend to keep it that way. I have added a few accessories(or I would call necessities) such as cup holders, arm rest, Farad stepney locks etc. Nothing more. The only modification I intend to do is upgrade the tyres to AT 215-225/75/R15 when the current tyres wear out. Its done 39k till now. I purchased the Jimny purely for fun and city rides. Recently I did a return trip to Kudremukh involving some off-roading(needs 4x4) to reach the Homestay, and it was thrilling. I wish to do more of such trips with like minded enthusiasts and Jimny lovers. I am not at all a hardcore off-roader, so all those off-road mods are not meant for me. I like to keep my trips simple and adventurous. With the Jimny I wish to explore regions which do not need too much of highway/expressway fast drives.

For the information of forum members, the other cars that I own are a 2014 BMW 320d and a 2019 Mahindra Alturas.

Looking forward to some fun times with other forum members and their Jimny’s.

Hi everyone, I’m Rajeev. I’m new to off-roading and recently picked up a used Jimny, finally taking the plunge after admiring these little machines for a long time. I’m based out of Palakkad, Kerala, and looking forward to learning the basics and gaining some real off-road experience. This is my first proper 4x4, so I’ll definitely be learning as I go. The Jimny felt like the perfect starting point—simple, capable, and fun. Happy to be here and looking forward to learning from the community and sharing the journey.

Hi everyone,

I’m Ravi from Bengaluru and I’m really happy to be part of this wonderful Curbover / Jimny family. I work in IT as a software professional and whenever I get time, I’m usually on the road.

Over the last 20 years, my road journeys have taken me across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan,Konkan and Andhra Pradesh, and the plan is to slowly cover the rest of India in the coming years. My vehicle journey so far has been: Maruti 800 (1980s) → Alto 800 → Ford Figo → Maruti Ertiga → and now the Jimny AT 4x4 (finally a proper 4x4 in the garage!).

I enjoy solo road trips, a bit of IoT tinkering, Home Theatre enthusiast, gardening and cooking, alongside whatever my day job demands to survive. Thrilled to be here, looking forward to learning from all of you, sharing experiences and hopefully joining some epic road trips together with the Curbover community.

Kudos to the team and the members for building this kind of community spirit!

I have passion for road travel for which never got time while I was working. Now I purchased Jimny Alpha AT so that I am able to do the trips I always wanted to do. I have recently done a trip to Corbett Tiger Reserve. Kashmir, Leh, Laddakh, Lahaul, Spiti are close to my heart. Saw some videos of Curbover. They were super impressive. Just joined this awesome group after binge-watching the YouTube videos

I’m Sanju from Bangalore, living here with my family and my two boys (the younger one is just 6 months old). I work with IBM, handling Corporate Security for Bangalore.

Recently got myself a Jimny Manual after selling my 2-year-old Thar (2023). Been driving it for about a month now and honestly loving it! Not many people would switch from a Thar to a Jimny, but once you drive it, you’ll know why

I had already picked up a bunch of accessories even before the delivery, and just yesterday got NGK Ruthenium plugs imported from Japan. Paid hefty though with 9.5 k through UBuy and 3.9k for the customs charges.

Was figuring out how to DIY the install and boom found Manik sir’s video on YouTube. Haven’t tried it yet, but planning to soon!

i booked the manual alpha version, basically the logo color of Curbover. As per mods, i only have a semi functonal 70mai 500s dual channel dashcam and basic MS mods, this is my first car so havent really planned any specific spots for travel yet.

Hello one and all. This is Apoorv (@LoveJimnying) at your service. I am presently based in Delhi and Dehradun and I own a Jimny Zeta-2023 model in Pearl Arctic White. I am a DIY enthusiast and have installed fog lamps, radius arm guards, footwell lighting and full body damping by myself. In the near future, I am planning to add a dashcam, dashboard/A-pillar mounted tweeter speakers, bumper mounted aux- lights, rocksliders and an inclinometer to name a few mods. The jimny has been my trusted chariot and taken me to places like Barot valley, Thachi valley, Jalori Pass and Badrinath. I am very excited to be a part of this forum.

Abhijeet here, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

I am currently in the process of bringing home a Jimny Alpha AT and, after a long gap, it feels like I am returning to something I have always enjoyed: adventure, machines and the open road.

Professionally, I have spent over three decades in the media and entertainment industry and currently head Ep.Log Media, an audio-first media company. Much of my work revolves around storytelling, content, technology, and building businesses in the evolving media landscape.

Away from work, I have always had an adventurous streak. During my younger years, I was quite an adventure enthusiast and a serious motorcycle aficionado. I once owned a 1962 cast-iron Army Bullet, so there is a little bit of old-school motoring nostalgia coming back with the Jimny.

The plan this time is to rediscover that side of life: weekend drives, long road journeys, responsible off-roading and, eventually, a few proper cross-country adventures across India.

I am joining CurbOver as a learner and enthusiast, and look forward to learning from the community, exchanging experiences, understanding the Jimny better and hopefully joining some of the adventures along the way.

I’m Vinay, based in a small village near the Mukundara Hills landscape in Rajasthan. I work part-time as a software engineer and spend the rest of my time as a field naturalist, currently documenting the area’s habitats, seasonal changes, ecosystems and wildlife.

I have a physical disability and drive using a hand-control system installed by Mobility Solutions, Karnal. My vehicle is a 2026 Jimny Alpha 4AT, which I have been driving for roughly three months.

Travel has been a major part of my life since college, and over the years I have travelled through every Indian state and Union Territory. My first car was a Tata Nexon AMT. It gave me independence and also taught me a great deal about driving and automobiles.

But it gradually made one thing very clear: since mobility has been one of my biggest challenges since childhood, I did not just need a car that could take me along good roads. I needed one that could keep going when the road stopped behaving like a road.

That is why I chose the Jimny.

In just three months, it has already changed what I consider accessible. Rough village tracks, mud, broken approaches and uneven terrain that were complete barriers in my previous car are now far more manageable. For many people, the Jimny is a recreational off-roader. For me, it is also an extension of my mobility and an important tool for fieldwork.

• Practical recovery and accessibility equipment

My priority is a sensible, reliable and functional build rather than modification for its own sake. I joined CurbOver to learn from experienced owners, understand the vehicle better and adapt it safely for my particular use.

Glad to be part of the community. Happy to share more about the hand-control setup, accessible driving or field travel in Rajasthan; and equally happy to learn from everyone else’s builds and mistakes before making my own.

Hi everyone, I am Vaibhav, 26 years old, from Himachal Pradesh (not the one you imagine but a small town on border of himachal and haryana) and I bought my first car Jimny this year in February. I have always wanted to buy a car that could take me anywhere. I always loved Jimny but I was a big fan of features in a car but over time I have realised there is no use of a feature if you aren’t going to use it anyway and I have realised most important things for a car are its maintenance cost and reliability. I have done a few road trips but I am fairly new to this. I want to explore but at the same time I get scared because I have never traveled solo, I want to get rid of my fear and travel and live my life to fullest with Jimny.

I haven’t done any mod yet. Planning to do some essential ones like underbody protection. I want to change the fog lamp led but I don’t trust workmanship in India. If anyone know a good modification place in chandigarh It would be great.

Please suggest some other mods that I should do.
