Hello everyone,
Sanidhya here from Bengaluru and I’ve recently got a Kinetic Yellow Alpha AT Jimny.
Really excited to see a community with such active members and so many topics already listed. Looking forward to make my contribution to it.

I look forward to build my Jimny based on the ride experiences I have with it. The first list of changes includes chunkier tyres, a dashcam and few other general accessories. I like to purpose-build my vehicles so the list may go beyond this pretty soon.

Namaste to all . I am Ayan Kumar from Bhopal . I have booked Jimny Zeta Manual in sizzing Red color ( the least sold color hehe) . The car is in yard of dealership but delivery Muhurt is only on 18th December and I am totally restless , lost my sleep in love and anticipation. Hope you guys may empathize with the feelings. I was in love with the car since the days when Maruti declined to bring it to India while Renault brought Duster AWD and I bought the Duster . I am also a reseller of President CB Radios in Madhya Pradesh and I also ship those radios to almost all over India sometimes . I have been criss-crossing our Himalaya States solo in multi-day adventure trips. I would feel fortunate to meet any of you guys in Bhopal . My mobile nu.ber is 7828801369 .

Hi, this is Vineet this side. I work as an academic at a school of management in Ahmedabad. We recently got our Jimny Alpha AT in Bluish Black. Not very original, but we are calling ours the Black Ibex.

As I guess with some of the other members, I also got to know about the forum watching CurbOver’s account of the record breaking Umling La expedition on YouTube. Since then, I believe my wife and I have watched all the episodes on the channel. I have already ordered some of the accessories introduced on the channel, and some additional ones (I will update that separately in the Accessories thread).

We did our first Jimny road trip to Jawai last weekend - we hired a Gypsy for the proper offroading there because ours is still in the run-in period. Look forward to be part of the next CurbOver expedition.

Cheers!

Hi everyone…!
I am Salil based out of Indore (MP). I have recently purchased Jimny Alpha AT Celestial Blue. Am still falling in love with it.
I am a journalist with keen interest in riding and driving. I have an Africa Twin, Enfield Bullet, Volkswagen Polo. Have been riding since last 28 years.
And I like to work on my bikes and cars. :grinning:
I don’t plan to make much changes in the tyres (saw these are AT tyres and compatible with driving in mud and snow). As of now I will be getting a roof rack/ladder, dashcam, a throttle controller and a device to keep the gear indicator illuminated (am still grappling with automatic gears especially in the dark).
Will catch up with you on the road soon.

I’m Nikhil Miranda, from Malad West in Mumbai.
Just a few weeks ago, on December 23rd, 2023, I welcomed the ZETA AT into my world, and although it’s only seen 200 kilometres, I can already feel the excitement brewing for the adventures it promises.

I’ve been a gearhead and car enthusiast for a solid 15 years now, diving deep into the world of Motorcycles and all things with wheels. But it’s not just about four wheels for me—I’m a regular on two wheels too, with a sweet collection of bikes that have seen their fair share of road trips.

I also run a motorcycle accessory brand Route95 Motorcycle Supply Co., a brand born from my passion for everything motorcycle-related.

Switching gears after a fantastic nine-year run and over a lac kilometers with the OG Baleno 05 model, I recently jumped to the Jimny.

It’s a new chapter in my automotive journey that promises fresh experiences and thrills.

Hi Everyone,

I’m Kabir, from Noida/Dehradun, got my Jimny in grey in the August of '23 and i am quite proud of it after clocking 6k kms.

I also own the og Jazz from 2011 and Tiger 800xcx, and i am a self proclaimed mechanic as well.

Few changes that i have made-

  1. Tyre upgraded to 215 Geolanders
  2. Osram 19w LEDs for the fog lamps
  3. Rear seatbelt reminder sensors unhooked the first day of ownership

I intend to keep this vehicle as close to stock as possible, with very functional upgrades.

Really looking forward to interact, learn and share my tinkering experiences with other enthusiasts.

Hi, This is Nilesh Shah, Ahmedabad,Gujarat.
Just in December,2023 purchased Jimny Alpha AT White.

In January,2023 booked Jimny and cancelled booking with heavy heart in June as price & Delivery both were not decided by Company…

After launching of Jimny with Price once again ,Jimny is out of budget. So searching for other options.

Tried Mahendra Boero Neo & Scorpio - N but somehow not satisfied with quality & workmanship of Mahindra.
Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta were also under consideration but after sitting in car nothing new wow… Feeling.

Since last 25 years using Wagon R. At interval Of Every 5 years changed Wagon R. Best Car with great fuel efficiency.
No words for best car. Driven allmost 4.5 lakh KM.

On December,1st ,2023 company came up with discounts and advertisement started. Negotiated price and booked on 4th December,2023 with full payment and took delivery on 8th December,2023.

My experience is great with Jimny and happy with decision at age of 59.
After 2100 KM in less then Month we feel great and enjoying.
Fule efficiency @13.6 to 14 - In bumper to bumper traffic and On Highway with average speed @70 KM per Hour.

Still Maruti is struggling for sales of Jimny as they are not getting numbers against projection.

Hi CurbOver members,

I am Ramanath from Bangalore. Saw the Ladhak expedition on YouTube. Wish I had become a member earlier and joined your expedition. And, you had one more to Lovedale which I missed again.

I moved to Bangalore in 1998 from Mumbai. I am a Data Science professional and a Visiting Professor at a Management Institute.

My Jimny Alpha AT (Bluish Black) was delivered early September. I do not intend to have any major modifications made to my Jimny. I think it is quite exceptional in its original form.

A special mention to Manik and Sanjay. Your YouTube video (Ladhak) was both entertaining and inspirational.

Please count me in for any expeditions in the future.

Hello Everyone,

I am Manish from currently at Pune, Maharashtra as a IT Professional (moved from Ahmedabad, Gujarat) and glad to be part of the CurbOver community.

I was Planning to buy 4x4 and CurbOver (Umling La expedition) made decision easy for me as I wanted best of both worlds. Currently I have Honda Brio and It is serving me well. I don’t have any complains about my current ride except ground clearance :).

I have visited the Nexa with my spouse and daughter and have finalised the decision to get Alpha AT in Nexa Blue and hoping to get the Jimny by end of the next month.

I have planned Throttle controller & Horn replacement for starter. I already have VIOFO 130T Dash Cam and will repurpose it.

Thanks.

First of all thank you so much for adding me into CurbOver.

My name is Reji Thomas, everyone calls me Reji, an NRI, working for Lufthansa Airlines, so it obvious that I am currently not based in India but of course I am Indian and always an Indian. I hail from the state of Kerala and wants to settle down in Trivandrum on retirement, which is not too far my age

I own Jimny (Bluish Black) Alpha Automatic 2023 Model, purchased in 2023. The basic reason for buying the Jimny is because its a Global Car and its marketed as SUZUKI in India and you dont get to see MARUTI SUZUKI on the Indian Jimny and you get SUZUKI JIMNY anywhere in the world with same specs, of course mostly its 3 door in most of the countries except now we have 5 door in Australia and South Africa ( by the way MADE IN INDIA). Recently 5 Door Variant was also launched in MUSCAT (Sultanate of Oman).

My basic purpose of buying the Jimny is to use this as my retirement car, a long cherished dream for me and my wife to travel. There is no other car in India which will serve the dual purpose of a City Car as well as a of roader. After seeing Simply Jimny in the India Book of Records for the highest motorable drive on 10 Jimny, I wanted to be part of this forum though I have no experience off-roading because I am always in the air :).

Thank you and hope we will be welcome to CurbOver family. Looking forward.
