Hi everyone. Nikhil from Mumbai. Got a Jimny Alpha AT in July as a gift from my wife for my birthday.

A writer by profession and a dreamer by propensity, the Jimny would be considered a very strange car for someone like me to buy. I have never been a 4x4 guy, I’m lazy, I read, most of my travel lies in dense city traffic, never even sat in a Thar, always loved the Jeep Compass, though for its luxury feel - the Jimny was not even on my radar. And then one day I took a TD of the manual and pretty much everything else went out of the window! I still don’t know why I love it so much so I’ll just say the Jimny bug bit me, hence we call her the Love Bug

My wife also loves it especially the red colour which was her choice. We love it so much I don’t even bother about the discounts I missed in buying it when we did. It’s outstanding as a city driver, I can literally park it anywhere, it has a great suspension for my needs and I absolutely love-hate the AC - it chills even at 26 degrees!

Plan to now get to learn off-reading a bit and hopefully join the CurbOver next exciting expedition

Hello Everyone,

My name is Pankaj Sharma born and brought up in Delhi. My Hobbies are to Travel where ever I can, driving, doing adventure, trekking & gymming.
I have a Jimny Alpha, Bluish black, Purchased in Jul-24.
Currently I’m keeping my Jimny as stock and planning to some aesthetic mods like abs spoiler and ladder may be.
I have just got my first service done at 1390kms today with teflon, anti rust and silencer coating at Nexa dealership.
Right now I have completed two short drives of around 560km to Khatoo shayamji (Rajasthan) & Pantnagar (Uttrakhand).
It was a very nice driving experience with cruse control and got almost 15kmpl in both the trips.
I would really be interested to joining this group for random expeditions and Off road experience.
I’m a beginner off roader with 0 experience, however I’m a quick learner and very much excited to do the off roading activities asap.

Hi I am also from Thane will meet up some time

Umling La episodes on youtube were really fascinating … I am inspired by them to take a similar journey this year.

Hi everyone, I am Suresh, a 69 year old retired banker. I am from Darjeeling but have a base in Bengaluru. I enjoy driving especially in the mountains.
I have a kinetic yellow Jimny Alpha bought in January 24. I have installed underbody protection, roof rack with jerry can, and rock sliders. I have also changed the fog lamps.

In June I undertook a trip from Kanyakumari to Ladakh including Umling la. Looking forward to more.

Hi All, I’m very glad to be part of this community. I’ve already learned much by reading through the posts on this forum. I’m based in Bangalore and I’ve owned my Alpha Manual Jimny since Dec 2023. It’s been a great vehicle and I’m looking forward to many adventures with it.

I started driving more than two decades ago, when it all started with an 800 (which died an untimely death, sadly in my reckless hands). Over these two decades I have driven the following extensively - an 800, an Eeco, a Verito, a Marshal, a Major, an i10, a Scorpio and a Marazzo. All of these cars while excellent in their respective departments, failed in one aspect, an important one.

Hi, my name is Amrit. I am from Gajapati, Odisha. I work in Finance Transformation for a corporate in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. Coming back to that missing important aspect in all the cars my family or, I had ever owned. All of these cars, they never made me feel any terrain not invincible. Please don’t get me wrong, I have done my fair share of adventure in all of these cars, including a fatal one that took away the hardy 800. Two decades of driving have taught me, it is not the car, it is the pair of hands on the wheels.

Then came the 4th Gen Jimny, whose worldwide launch I was following since 2017. It tugged at my heart strings from the moment I saw it for the first time. Finally, bought Alpha MT in mid-June this year under my corporate’s car lease scheme. So, now I save a ton of tax while having fun. In these 84 days I have driven it for 9400kms so far, yes, that’s 112kms per day on average. Speaks volumes about how much I love driving that car. I have managed to improve my mileage to 14.7kmpl on the meter. No complaints whatsoever, even though I missed the huge discounts by merely a week. Also, trust me on this, I have never felt any terrain not invincible, not any more.

Other than few storage spaces on the dash, door handles, center console, a spare cover and of course the rear defogger covers, I have kept my Jimny stock, and intend to keep it that way for foreseeable future. May be a dashcam at some point, but that’s about it.

Good to be here, and looking forward to learn and to contribute in growing the tribe.

Hello!

This is Suvrat from Faridabad. I work in Management Consulting and have been fan-boying about the Jimny ever since it was launched in India. Got the delivery of my Bluish Black Alpha AT last week. Only mods done till now are the tyres (215/75/R15 Geolanders). Considering a stage 1 tune (any leads and actual usage experience with a stage 1 is much appreciated).
Eager to be a part of various expeditions, 4x4 events, and meetups with fellow owners.

Hi All, This is Puneet a lawyer now practicing in Delhi but originally belong to Bhopal. I own a 2023 Jimny, with a lot of mods, heck I even changes the front and rear arms with Ultra Heavy Duty arms sourced from Japan. It all works great, look forward to meeting you guys and going on expeditions soon.
