Sai service says oil filter part number 16510 M 68K20 is compatible with Jimny.
As per them it is new part number.
Has anyone come across such situation or is there any evidence it is compatible.
The part no. 16510M68K20 is compatible with most of the Maruti models but NOT for Jimny. Filter assy oil having part no 16510M68K00 is specifically made for Jimny. You can also check the parts compatibility by searching ‘Maruti Suzuki parts online’ on Google.

16510M68K20 is Ignis oil filter and is indeed compatible with Jimny. Those there has been few concerns on the 8 holes (K00) vs 6 holes (K20), no major concerns are there. The larger diameter offsets the less number of holes in the K20 model.
But, being technically right, the 16510M68K00 is the Jimny OEM filter part number.
