Pioneer has launched a custom-made sound package especially for the Jimny. A few of our members have already got it installed and reported good results.
To explore this further I reached out to Pioneer India and made them aware of our group and that I would like to evaluate the unit and get it installed in my Jimny.
Mr. Niranjan was kind enough to facilitate the installation and I got it installed from Edge Car Accessories on 1st July, 2024.
It has been almost 45 days now and I have had enough time to evaluate and review the system. Here is my short review.
Design and Materials: The thing I liked the most about this setup was that Pioneer has meticulously designed the kit to seamlessly fit in the Jimny. No wires are spliced, no holes are drilled, no jugaad is done. It is all plug and play. Attention to details is phenomenal with even small things like screws, locks and insulation foam for the speakers being provided as part of the kit. The subwoofer has a wired remote to adjust the bass on the fly and it fits very neatly beside the gear lever. The subwoofer also sits comfortably below the passenger seat and does not foul with the rear passenger’s feet.
Sound Quality: I decided to get the kit and pair it up with the Sub-woofer as well. If I was to summarize in a few words, I would say that the sound quality is miles ahead of the stock setup. The Lows, Mids and High’s are all very distinct and the bass is really tight.
Ensure you do the damping of the doors as well to get the best results. Pioneer makes 2.2 MM damping sheets as well and that made a huge difference to Bass. It’s tight and punchy and the doors don’t reverberate.

I came across this kit even before taking delivery of my Jimny. Positive feedback from @Traveler and others in the group really helped firm up my decision to install the same kit but with a smaller subwoofer in my Jimny. Results : Phenomenal.
For people in Delhi, NCR and Haryana I’ve managed to connect with Mr.Kapil Arora authorised Pioneer distributor. He would be extending similar/slightly lesser pricing on the kit, subwoofer and damping sheets. Details already shared in telegram group. Got the Pioneer speakers installed from Edge accessories today. Was a good experience as the work was done well and I am happy with the sound improvement. Hoping it gets better in a few days. The price was the same as mentioned in the poster.
Hello, I have just installed the same setup with subwoofer.
I want to know what settings are good for the same?
Also,can we have a balanced setting for all kinds of music or do I need to change the setting each time?
Its good till now, however would give a review feedback after spending a couple of days.

Not satisfied with the pioneer upgrade with subwoofer, i believe my stock alpha setup was doing a great job, this is just waste of money and a lot of hassle to tune every now and then, there seems to be no sweet spot for the same. i guess i might go back to stock and sell these pioneer package. sore ears

I recently got the Pioneer Sound Kit fitted along with 2.2mm Pioneer Damping sheets. However, I dont particularly feel satisfied with the depth of the sound quality. I was expecting a little more punch & bass from the Component but its quite hollow.
I am told I can enhance this output with the Pioneer 130EA Under Seat subwoofer with Amp but I wanted to clarify if these will also fit with the OEM sockets or I will need to get the wire skinned or put a connector. I am not too keen to add this if its not a plug & play (similar to the Pioneer Sound kit) to avoid risk of warranty.
I am aware of the Edge Accessories shop in Bgl but wanted to check this before I make the visit / investment.
Please do help suggest.
The underseat woofer is what adds the depth and punch. Get the one with the wired remote that I have. It gets connected directly to the fuse box using a fuse tap so no need to skin any wires.
I had explained how to do it properly to the technicians at Edge so they should be able to do it.
